Parul Goetz presenting Domestic Adoption 101 to medical staff of NZMG Foundation clinical partner, Carolina Conceptions, on October 30, 2012.
Presently, NZMG Foundation has three clinical partners: Atlantic Reproductive Medicine Specialists in Raleigh, NC, Carolina Conceptions in Raleigh, NC, and Duke Fertility Center in Durham, NC. These partnerships allow for both patients and medical staff to access NZMG Foundation’s Education Program directly in the clinical setting through on-site training, presentations, and provision of resources. The goal of the clinical partnership is to empower the team of patient and doctor with relevant information about infant domestic adoption as they investigate all options in the journey to parenthood. As Dr. Julia Woodward, Director for the Duke Fertility Center Psychological Services Program notes, ”Our fertility patients are often daunted by the prospect of exploring adoption. There are new systems to learn, and new decisions to be made. The Foundation understands these issues from the inside and treats individuals with great care and respect.”
