Education Program

NZMG Foundation Education Program participants, Rachel & James Sullivan and their son, Zachary.

Education Program Overview
The Noah Z.M. Goetz Foundation Education Program offers two modules, Domestic Adoption 101, a 1-hour overview of the process and its various elements, and Domestic Adoption 102, a 3-hour, in-depth review of the entire process from beginning to end.

Both modules are conducted at the home of Parul and Nate Goetz in Durham, North Carolina, or, in those cases where clients live distances that may impeded them from participating in person, via computer using GoToMeeting.Com. As all journeys through infertility and domestic adoption are different, each module is done one-on-one and, although the curriculum of both modules are consistent with all who participate, they are delivered at a pace in which the participants are comfortable with. The reason for conducting the modules in a home setting is not only for the sake of confidentiality but to also promote a comfortable and safe environment.

What makes the Noah Z.M. Goetz Foundation Education Program unique is that it is presented through the lens of infertility, i.e. for those who have faced it (and without success) and who are now exploring domestic adoption as the way to build their family. One of the elements discussed in both modules is the personal story of Parul and Nate Goetz and how they reached the decision to adopt. In presenting the modules, Parul and Nate have found that this is a very important element for participants rather than just simply covering the logistics of the process.

Participation in the Noah Z.M. Goetz Foundation Education Program is limited to residents of North Carolina who have gone through or are currently undergoing infertility treatment and do not already have children of their own (including from a previous marriage or partnership.)
